The SMART3R detects toxic, flammable and refrigerant gases in non-classified areas such as machinery rooms, plant rooms and laboratories. You can order it with one of three sensor types: infrared, catalytic or electrochemical. All three versions share the same enclosure, outputs and wiring, so you can mix sensor types on one site and install them the same way.

• Power: 12-24 Vdc as standard, with an optional AC version
• Outputs: 3 relays (1.0 A at 30 Vdc), RS485 serial communication and 4-20 mA analogue (4-20 mA on the DC version only)
• 4 LED status indicators around a transparent ring, plus an internal 63 dB buzzer for alarm and fault conditions
• Polycarbonate enclosure: 130 x 130 x 74 mm, 1 lb
• Cable entries: 2 x M20 cable glands, with pre-formed guides for up to 6 additional M16 glands
• Optional remote sensor head, connected by RJ12 6P6C cable

Choose your sensor

Infrared (IR)

Use the infrared version for refrigerant gases, CO₂ and flammable hydrocarbons. It covers more than 20 refrigerants, including R32, R134a, R410A, R454B, R1234yf and R1234ze, with ranges of 0-2000 ppm, 0-5000 ppm or 0-100% LFL. The sensor has a predicted life of 5 years and responds in under 60 seconds (t90).

Catalytic

Use the catalytic version for combustible gases: methane, LPG, propane, butane and petrol vapours, all with a range of 0-100% LEL. The sensor has a predicted life of 7-10 years.

Electrochemical (EC)

Use the electrochemical version for toxic gases and oxygen: O₂, CO, NH₃, Cl₂, H₂S, SO₂ and NO₂. The sensor has a predicted life of 2-3 years.
