AGSCOi

Carbon Monoxide (CO)

The AGSCOi is a carbon monoxide electro-chemical detector and is typically used as a standalone unit or in conjunction with an AGS controller. Carbon monoxide has a specific gravity of 0.97 and is therefore slightly lighter than air. The recommended position to mount the CO sensor is 62 inches above ground level. For car parks, 62 inches above ground level is still recommended. When the sensor head detects carbon monoxide at a level exceeding 50ppm for over 4 minutes the attached system will trigger into the alarm state. When connected to an AGS controller, this can be used to trigger the isolation of the power supply to a solenoid valve and as such isolation of the gas supply. This can then be rectified by resolving the leak, allowing the sensor head to clear and resetting the attached AGS panel and detector. This is re-settable by rectifying any gas leak, allowing the sensor head to clear and restarting the Merlin panel.
