Hydrogen (H2)

The AGSHi is a hydrogen semiconductor detector and is typically used as a standalone unit or in conjunction with an AGS controller. The detector should be mounted in accordance with certain considerations. Consider the density of gas for its application and position the detector accordingly. Hydrogen gas is lighter than air and will therefore rise, meaning the sensor should be mounted 10 Inches from the Ceiling of the protected area. The Hydrogen gas detectors at detection will go into alarm at 10% of the low explosion level.  When connected to an AGS controller, this can be used to trigger the isolation of the power supply to a solenoid valve and as such isolation of the gas supply. This can then be rectified by resolving the leak, allowing the sensor head to clear and resetting the attached AGS panel and detector.
